Working hours: Standard 8 hours (OT has required and if requested by the manager )
Steel Toe Boots: Required
Travel: Domestic- within the NAMCs and International travel to Mexico and Canada (the candidate should have the basic immigration documents ready)
Reason for travel: Meetings and hands on field work.
Main travel time: Main travel times = Summer Shutdown (late June ~ early July) & Winter Shutdown (late December ~ early January)
Job description:
What is the business objective/business purpose of project? Design and implementation of Controls, Safety Controls Systems, for new and modified press equipment.
Tell me more about your group/ line of business within Toyota. Press Controls supports all NAMC's with upgrades/modifications on existing equipment as well as supports new equipment installations.
What does the make-up of your team look like? Have 6 full-time T/M's and 3 CW
What other teams does your group interact with? All NAMC Stamping Shop Maintenance and Production Groups. Will also start supporting Resins and Casting PE Groups
What is the typical hands-on day to day responsibilities for this resource? The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design on mechanical/hydraulic/servo power presses and related automation equipment.
This includes (but not limited to):
HMI, PLC, Safety PLC designs, schematics, layouts, programs, and troubleshooting of same.
Panel, Field Device, and Hardwire layouts, designs, including installation and wiring as needed.
Main motor and drive (including servo) layouts, designs, including installation and wiring as needed.
Risk Assessments, evaluations, buy-off, including all required documentation.
Installation, including supervision of vendors, as well as Partial/Full line commissioning.
Communicate effectively with Controls, Seibi, and Project Management team members
Create and lead the creation of Controls standards, specific to Stamping.
Participate in the creation of Risk Assessments, Schedules, and project KPI.
Who else would this resource be interacting with on a day-to-day basis? Press Equipment PE Seibi and PM's, as well as Castings and Resins PE teams.
Requirements:
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or Equivalent Work Experience.
AutoCAD Electrical experience.
PLC / HMI programming experience
Allen Bradley/Rockwell, ToyoPuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc CNC, Beckhoff
