Description - Screening Questions:

Summary:
Install, configure, and support an organization's systems or a segment of a network systems.

Job Responsibilities:
• Study and document present work flow and procedures. Identify potential computer networking and computer application areas.
• Configure and analyze email applications or virus protection software.
• Write, test and de-bug complex programs.
• Prepare system flow diagrams and develop systems procedures.
• Provide technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operation personnel.
• Prepare, coordinate and supervise systems implementation.
• Performs advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services.
• Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.
• Drives incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.
• Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure.
• May support analysis and report generation, exception processing and service management.
• Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.
• Develops and maintains technical, operational and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.

Education/Experience:
• High School Degree and Bachelors degree in data processing /related field or equivalent work experience required.
• 3 to 5 years experience in role required

Name Required Experience Ability to utilize network packet capture to diagnose network communication anomalies and disruptions Yes 2 - 4 Years ITIL Foundations or experience with concepts such as Request, Incident, Problem and Change Yes 2 - 4 Years Layer 2 protocols such as Vlans, Spanning Tree Yes 2 - 4 Years Layer 3 routing protocols such as eigrp, bgp, ospf Yes 2 - 4 Years TCP/IP and related protocols Yes 2 - 4 Years WAN links such as MPLS, GigE, and broadband Yes 2 - 4 Years Working knowledge of Cisco Routers: Hardware & software Yes 2 - 4 Years working knowledge of DNS administration (preferred - Bluecat DNS product experience) Yes 2 - 4 Years Working knowledge of network packet capture tools such as Wireshark, WildPackets, etc. Yes 2 - 4 Years
