Health, Safety, and Environmental Analyst – Level III
Performs routine functions related to a site's environmental permit requirements and safety requirements, HSE objectives and targets, and the overall Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). Routine functions may include the gathering of emissions and discharge data, incidents and accidents, visual site inspections, sampling wastewater discharges, maintaining waste accumulation areas, labeling waste containers, and other related duties, as directed by the site HSE Supervisor or HSE Manager. Assists with the application of engineering and administrative controls to reduce the environmental impacts associated with site operations and to control safety risks. Supports the collection of site HSE KPIs for use at the site, BU and Corporate levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports implementation and maintenance of the site HSEMS, control of significant aspects and risks and achievement of HSE objectives/targets. Supports regulatory compliance efforts and other programs applicable at the site including storm water management, employee training, recordkeeping/reporting, and other associated HSE programs at a facility. Monitors the day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air quality, water quality and related programs. Assists with internal and external HSE audits; resolves basic issues identified in audits; updates HSEMS documentation

Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace. Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance - Collects and analyzes data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy and protect employees and the environment. Work Related Injury and Illness Management - Communicates and documents work related injuries or illnesses through application of *** reporting guidelines and relevant regulations to classify and manage the event and its consequences as well as achieve regulatory compliance; cares for the affected employees by facilitating clinical treatment practices and applying case management processes to restore the employee to his/her normal condition. Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance - Identifies, interprets and manages legal and other requirements by implementing controls, monitoring and reporting on
operational performance to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental related regulations and standards. Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Plans and aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
Data Mining - Extracts insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.
Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required.
Experience:
5-7 years’ work experience required.
• Assigning training based on site safety training matrixes into the *** Learning Center;
• Extract and distribute reports on training progress, audits, corrective actions, metrics, and any other health, safety, and environmental related data as required;
• Performing trend analysis for the Accelera HSE function;
• Preparing presentations for Accelera leadership using extracted health, safety, and environmental data;
• Manage and keep current the Accelera HSE SharePoint site;
• Organize the Accelera HSE Teams page and keep up to date the Accelera HSE team calendar;
• Organize and distribute team meeting invites for the Accelera HSE team;
• Maintain and update the Accelera HSE scorecard;
• Support Accelera HSE sites with HSE metrics reporting;
• Create and maintain Accelera HSE specific PowerBi reports;
• Organize, maintain, and distribute safety alerts for the Accelera business;
• Assist with preparing Annual Operating Budgets for the Accelera HSE function;
• Help coordinate Accelera HSE workshops and in-person meetings;
• Creating and submitting purchase orders for the Accelera HSE function.

This role is looking for a well-rounded HSE Analyst with 5-7 years of experience. This candidate will need to have machine guarding experience, lotto electrical safety, risk assessment, and to be CMSP preferred.
Some of the other skills and qualifications the manager is looking for are computer skills, database skills, spreadsheets, and hands-on experience with HSE systems. Some other good to have skills are STF, hoist and crane, confined space, agronomics, and lock out tag out skills.
The role working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM. The role will be scheduled for 6 months with possible extensions. When the manager is ready, he will be requesting 1-hour zoom interviews followed by a 2nd interview on site.
