Overtime – up to 20% based on business requirements (need to work in winter shutdown)
Travel – other NAMCs or suppliers for benchmarking activities and equipment buy-offs – up to 10% - Local + International
Location – Princeton, IN – TMMI (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana)
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid? – 5 days onsite
Based in TMMI, the candidate will report to the Paint PE Manger in support of Capital Projects, Major/Minor Model changes, and support daily competitive daily operations.
Interview process: STAR/Video interview
Primary Activities Include:
(50%) Project Planning Planning Lead for Major/Minor Model and CapEx Projects.
(30%) Developing PFS and Schedule highlighting required Milestones. Reporting Project status and escalating A Rank PFS concerns.
(10%) Development of new technologies and vendor base for PE (Production Engineering) towards the improvement of process efficiencies and cost reduction.
(10%) Benchmarking other NAMCs, Kaizen opportunities. Progressive goal of achieving higher quality, cost reduction and CO2 Reduction (Environmental concerns)
Close collaboration and relationship building with internal and external groups across Toyota including TMNA ACT 1 Paint Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC’s Pilot team, Logistics, Maintenance, Internal Logistics Engineering regional team, PEPD, and others.
Requirements:
Must Have:
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or above for 2D
High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Some Proficiency in other Microsoft Office systems (PowerBI, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent Engineering experience of 3+yrs
Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors.
Passion for manufacturing hands-on environment to gather data, perform process analysis, and support new model and automation project team activities.
Preferred:
2+yrs work experience in manufacturing/technical environment in an engineering role
1+yr Experience working for Toyota or supplier
Experience with Automotive Paint Process (OEM)
Some 3D Modeling experience (Catia, XVL, Solidworks, Inventor)
Experience with project management in an engineering role
Reporting to the Paint PE Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the coordination and planning of equipment and process installations; including developing Work Scope; lead Bid Meetings; support equipment commissioning and quality confirmation planning.
