This position is with Seibi group, the hiring manager’s team has a total of 6 members and interact with multiples team like Engineers, Vendors, Contractors, paints for daily tasks.
The team’s objective is to Control Sub-Assy Accuracy and Equipment Function with day to day functions as Die Set-up, pneumatic, electrical setups, automation, robot teaching, robot intallations
Toyota Production System Knowledge would be a great plus.
Either technical degree or 3 years relevant experience.
Measurement technology experience (Faro, Client, CMM, Vectoron, etc) and maintenance teaching are required.
Experience in at least one CAD system including AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, Catia, or Solidworks
OT – 25% (weekends)
Travel – 50% (NAMs)
Onsite 100%
CW will have to bring Steel Toed Boots
1st Round – MS Teams – 30 minutes – Panel Interview along with few other managers.

Toyota’s Production Engineering Stamping Department Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi Technician.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be a hands-on technician and contribute to create of high quality vehicle body shell sub-assemblies by gathering sub-assembly data using various measurement methods and analyzing it to provide feedback to the engineers and other technicians.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Stamping department's objective to develop new model processes, RJ (Ryohin Jyoken – necessary conditions), equipment installation, start-up, troubleshooting, production trials, and support achievement of quality KPI’s for new model launches.
What you’ll be doing
Assist in standard work document creation and confirm accuracy of existing documentation
Perform hemming quality analysis and work with others to execute resulting countermeasure activity to ensure quality targets are met
Ensure the quality and accuracy of hem dies and equipment being built by North American vendors
Complete hem die functionality confirmation tuning and repair, including welding, grinding and polishing
Perform quality repeat activity for hemming equipment and dies at NAMC.
Analyze body panels for surface quality defects
Participate in equipment design review for new/refurbished equipment
Support vehicle sub-assembly measurement during trials using digital tools and hand measurement tools
Support NAMCs to investigate and countermeasure mass production problems.
Support panel modification and jig screw activity for CV/Goshi trials
Support standard work creation and training tools for use internally and for NAMC's
Requirements:
What you bring
2-year technical degree in a relevant field or 3 years of experience in stamping in the role of a tool & die maker or maintenance technician
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willingness to work hands-on including welding, grinding, polishing, body panel modification, and body panel measurement
What you may bring (preferred to have)
Experience with automotive body shell hemming quality2-year technician or technologist degree/diploma/certificate in a relevant field
Mechanical Power Press and Automation Equipment Experience
Toyota Production System Knowledge
